Stonehart Jewelry Will Make You Feel Like an Angel

Most jewelry brands are best known for their necklaces, earrings, and rings, but not Stonehart. They have all of these products in-store, but floating wings are actually their biggest hit because they allow you to feel like a real angel.

This Los Angeles-based brand was founded by costume and couture designer Toree Arntz. She describes Stonehart pieces as timeless keepsakes, inspired by “intrinsic beauty of the natural world and its folklore, mythical creatures, and phases.”

While working under the moniker Fauxtale, Arntz used naturally molted and found materials from animals she worked with at the Wildlife Waystation. Stonehart was born out of this idea, but she adopted a more affordable and sustainable approach with this brand.

Stonehart’s products, including its signature floating wings, are an expression of resiliency and rebirth. They’ll make you feel like you stepped into a fairy tale, and you can pick between several different colors ranging from white and black to golden and pastel rainbow shade.

Stonehart also offers a wide range of jewelry inspired by winged creatures, including moths and butterflies. The rest of their products are equally dreamy, especially their crowns and headpieces that have the same kind of whimsical quality as their angel wings.

Daniel Popper’s Art Installations Are Larger Than Life

Even if Daniel Popper’s name doesn’t ring a bell, if you’re passionate about travel, art, and architecture, chances are you’ve already stumbled upon one of his creations online. This sculpture artist from South Africa made a name for himself with his larger-than-life public art installations that have to be seen to be believed.

Popper’s work is inspired by humankind’s relationship with nature and it walks the fine line between stage design, installation art, architecture, and exterior design. Many of his sculptures made their way to the world’s top music festivals where they’ve been incorporated into stage and exterior design, creating a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience.

One of Popper’s most famous sculptures was permanently installed in Tulum during the “Art with Me” event that it was commissioned for. It’s called Ven a La Luz (Come into Light) and it symbolizes our deep connection with nature and ourselves.

This sculpture is worth a mention because it perfectly sums up what Popper’s art is all about. It’s made with steel, wood, rope, and greenery, it seamlessly blends into its surrounding, it looks human yet magical at the same time, and it’s there to draw people in and inspire them to explore its natural surroundings.

Take Your Snowflake Art to the Next Level With These DIY Crafts

Back when we were kids we used to love making paper snowflakes and bringing them home for our parents to hang. Now that we’re older, it’s time to take these snowflakes to the next level by putting an adult spin on them. The best part of these crafts is that they use materials you can find around your house. It’s time to turn your home into a winter wonderland with these crafts.

Paper Straw Snowflakes

All you need to make these snowflakes are cotton balls and straws. They’re even easier to make than paper snowflakes and once you’re done, you can hang them all throughout your house.

Marshmallow Snowflakes

Like we needed another reason to have marshmallows with our hot chocolate. Just stick some toothpicks through regular and mini marshmallows to create this 3D edible design.

Wood Snowflakes

Truly an upgrade to paper snowflakes, after you cut wood into snowflake shapes, attach a ribbon so you can hang them on your wall or front door.

Snowflake Pillow

Give a basic pillow a seasonal update by adding pom-poms, silver ribbon, or pearls in the shape of snowflakes to make your living space winter-appropriate.

Snowflake Clothespin Ornaments

You probably have lots of clothespins around your home so why not make snowflake ornaments? Go for a more natural feel or paint them with glitter to make the ornaments sparkle.

Fashion Brand Simon Miller Released Its First-Ever Home Collection

Luxury brand Simon Miller has just released its new and first-ever home collection called CaSa by Simon Miller. The collection is inspired by the label’s creative director, Chelsea Hansford’s 1960s Hollywood ranch-style home. It comes as no surprise that the home collection fits in perfectly with the aesthetic of the brand with playful, artsy, and vintage elements.

In fact, part of the reason Hansford created the line was from her Instagram follower’s reaction to her home. “I wanted this collection to give off the vibe of the house,” she Clever. “The intent was to make the lifestyle of this home shippable.” This translated into lots of vintage and color.

Highlights from the collection include tableware and cases curated in collaboration with A Good Chair, painting, and sculptures by artists like Leonard Urso and Ashley Cahill, tablecloths, placemats, and vases. The collection has all sorts of pieces beyond just decor like sweatshirts, leather dog collars, and terry slides.

Beware that the prices run up to $18,000—yes, you read that correctly. Many pieces of the 48-piece collection have already started selling out. You can buy the pieces on Simon Miller’s site.

Jewelry Designer Amanda Assad Has Started Releasing Pottery and Artwork

Art and fashion go hand in hand as they often inspire each other. And no one knows this better than LA-based jewelry designer Amanda Assad whose brand Mounser creates sculptural earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Recently, the brand has expanded into pottery, paintings, and pencil sketches, blending the two mediums together.

The Lebanese designer has always been in love with painting and she started making jewelry in 2009 before debuting Mounser in 2015. Mounser is known for asymmetrical, spherical, and metal-worked jewelry. She started exploring painting again to help her create new shapes for her jewelry.

Her inspiration comes from nature and her sketching sessions resulted in a series based in the moon’s cycles with themes of “evolution, metamorphosis, and transcendence”, according to The Zoe Report. “What took form during my sketching sessions were amorphous crescents, varying melting orbs, and twisting and undulating waves vibrating within one another harmoniously,” she told the news outlet.

Assad is a strong believer that art is connected to a person’s energy and mindset and she hopes that her work makes the buyer feel a certain way. She’s currently working on “Sunset Pieces” which are dripping ombré saturations that represent the sun. The designer wants to one day add furniture to her already wide collection.

Pantone Chose Two Colors of the Year for 2021

Each year we look forward to seeing what color Pantone chooses as the color of the year as it influences design, fashion, and home decor, and this year, they’ve picked not one, but two colors! For just the second time ever, the Pantone Color Institute named two colors of the year: PANTONE® 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE® 13-0647 Illuminating. The gray is a calming shade representing stability and the yellow brings to mind sunshine and warmth.

They decided to name two shades as the year leading up to 2021 was full of uncertainty. The colors are described by the institute as “a marriage of color conveying a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting.” The shades each have a purpose as “each of them has their own emotional aspect, the gray being the one that’s more supportive and solid, the practical foundation that we need, and the yellow is about hopefulness and sunshine and good cheer,” executive director of the institute, Leatrice Eiseman, executive director told TIME.

The two independent colors represent connection during a time of social distancing and the need for relationships to get through these times. When choosing colors, the goal is for them to reflect the moment we’re living in. Last year’s color, Classic Blue, was meant to relax us while entering into a new decade. And 2021’s colors are meant to evoke optimism about the future and for the return to everyday life.

How will you incorporate these colors into your life?

How to Get Your Instagram Top Nine

With 2020 almost over—and it couldn’t have come sooner—it’s time to look back at everything you’ve accomplished over the past year. This may include your staycation, a pandemic wedding, or a socially distanced picnic. One of the easiest ways to do that is by downloading your Instagram Top Nine. Here’s what it is and everything you need to know about it.

This auto-generator service allows influencers, celebrities, and social media users to calculate and download their top nine most-liked Instagram posts over the last year. To get it, all you need to do is head over to the Top Nine website or download the app and enter your Instagram handle. If your account is private, you’ll be asked to sign in to your account. After that, the service asks for your email and they will send you your final grid after the results are calculated. This usually takes a few minutes, and if the site is busy it may take longer.

In addition to Top Nine, there are other alternative services or you could create your own by scrolling through your Instagram history over the past year and selecting your favorite memories. Then, just share them on your feed on your Instagram stories.
