Many interior designers working these days take a minimalist approach to their craft, but not Dmitry Reutov. The founder of Reutov Design Studio is decorating homes with vibrant and quirky home décor pieces, and a vibrant splash of colors is the signature trait of his work.
Reutov founded his studio in 2007 and embarked on a quest to create brightly colored interior designs that fill our lives with energy and happiness. While discussing his approach with Nueve36Am, he described colors as the most important interior design component because they have the power to change any room and make it what you want.
Instead of trying to make the spaces he designs neutral, he’s making them pop with a splash of pink, green, and blue shades, ranging from bright tones to dreamy pastels. Unusual shapes are also one of his signature touches, and he often draws inspiration from natural elements, such as dessert cactuses and forest landscapes.
Over the years, Reutov designed lavish apartments all around the world, but most of his clients are based in Moscow and New York. He believes that brightness, colors, and unusual shapes help each space convey emotions, and that’s why he made them the signature traits of his designs.
