Many modern architects are taking a futuristic approach to their designs, and that’s certainly the case with Mask Architects. Their sensational creations combine science, architecture, and technology, and you have to see them to believe they’re real.
Mask Architects was founded by young innovators from Istanbul, Germany, and Italy, with Öznur Pınar Çer and Danilo Petta at their helm. By combining space architecture, robotic fabrication, and interactivity design and technology, they strive to create something truly amazing.
“We combine expertise across sectors, locations, disciplines, and all major building types to deliver a truly integrated way of working—resulting in high quality, effective and inspiring built spaces that take clients way beyond their expectations,” reads their official website.
Many of their past projects and proposals impressed the world with the combination of sustainability, environmental innovation, and urban wellness and even won several international awards. Their latest viral project, the artificial breathing palm Oasys in Abu Dhabi, can create cool and breathable outdoor spaces by harvesting solar energy, and it was designed in an attempt to combat climate change.
